Because if so, I must say this:

It's Alaska that has the mountains.

MST is between Pacific and Central. Colorado is known for the Rocky Mountains, the largest mountain range in the US. Hence the name MST. Duh.

But it doesn't have the biggest mountains.

Longer is better than bigger, if that makes any sense.

Obviously, but Colorado is famous for having the Rockies, even though it goes through other states. No one cares about Mount Mckinley.

Possibly because Colorado doesn't have anything else to be famous for.
Alaska is the farthest north and west state, as technically the farthest east too.
Plus the snowfalls. We also get light until after midnight in the summer, and bout five hours in the winter. Some parts get no sunlight some days. Plus mount McKinley being the highest mountain in the United States.
Alaska rocks.

The Rockies are beautiful and any state would die to be known for the Rockies. And since when was getting no sunlight a good thing?

No, we get enough light in the summer.

But the winter we get snow to replace the ice.
