Yep. They didn't have anything for the hardcore gamers. They soley focused on the casual games. Microsoft won overall at the press conferences.

Re: E3@G4
They just didn't show it.
There are some nintendo games that are for hardcore/more mature audiences.
No more heroes and madworld for example.

E3 is about showing off your best games and most talked about titles and they didn't do that.

Re: E3@G4
I heard they just talked of how good they were doing and other things like it that the customers don't care about that much.. I've also heard that it was to attract third paries attention.

Re: E3@G4
that's what nintendo was doing.
I'd say customers are just as important though.

Though you have to at least try to please the hardcore gamer with your main titles. A lot of fans wanted a Mario or Zelda game and only the Zeldorks understood the timing between each game, so they aren't surprised. The non-Zeldorks are mad about not having a new Zelda game.

Yah..
Mario and zelda have both been around about as long as Final Fantasy (late 80s)

I hate FF. I tried playing it once and I dispised it so much.

Re: E3@G4
I'd say ten.
Yuna, Tidus, Wakka, Lulu, Auron, Jecht, Sin, Khimarhi, Rikku.
Any of that familiar?
Lemme get some pics.
AHA!
This is all you need for characters:

Re: E3@G4
Riku I think.
Rikku is the girl on the top left. Who I found to be worth as little as Sothe in Path of Radiance.
Doesn't normally do much in battle, but can steal things.
The stealing is nice.

Except, unlike sothe, she can mix items for special effects.
Lots of damage, healing, heals all status effects, etc.
Can't do it constantly, but it is really useful. And she can use special items like grenades, special potions, and other fun stuf.

I only use her on bosses, when the enemy will take long enough to go down anyway. Her special items can help quite a bit.
Oh, and machines which she can instantly destroy.

It must've been a typo, a typo, a typo. Long story.
It's so much fun. I rented it from blockbuster and now I want to keep it forever.
