Technically, dating back to midieval (bad spelling!) times, bards were professional poets. Lols.. So when i read "bard of healing" i was like WHAT THE HECK?!?!?!?!!?

Well all bards had to know how to sing and all...they would sing a song of healing and then that person would be healed.

Update!!!

"Amazing isn't it." Diony said quietly with his back to me.

I nodded and tried to take in all that was in front of me. I was standing in a clearing between two hills. we were in a valley. A small stream was gurgling in the forest that surrounded us. It looked like a giant bowl with trees lining the walls and the hills were like the sides. The sun shined right into the center of the clearing, gleaming off of a large marble pillar. I studied the pillar and began blinking tears, the sun reflected off of the smooth surface and was like a beaken of white fire. Diony turned to meet my gaze.

"You look lovely!" he said with a surprise face.

I laughed a little and walked next to him. "So I am a bard? I would have never guessed!" I said swiftly grinning softly up to him. He returned my smile then hooked his arm into mine and led me to the pillar. I when we had reached it I untangled myself from his grasp and placed my hand on the stone. Under my touch it was hot and smooth. I placed my other hand on the pillar and suddenly I felt it vibrate under my hands. It was like ripples in a pond when you drop a pebble. The stone wavered under my hands and then celtic writings began to form from my hands outward. I didn't pull back, it seemed as if I was stuck and I wasn't controlling my body anymore. The burning stone became an icy stone and burned with cold. Once the pillar had stopped vibrating I pulled my hands from it and recoiled like I was burning.

"Wow!" Diony whispered astonished. "I never knew you had this much power!"

I looked up to him in a confused stare. "Can't you do that?"

"You are the first to awaken the pillar since the greatest bard, Kiek." he remarked.

I gawked and faced the stone again. I lifted my hands to the stone and placed on it again. This time when I touched it I heard a soft humming and I was lifted off of my feet. I wasn't staring at the stone and the sun wasn't shining down on me. I was no longer in the valley! I was on a field that was desolate and dead. There were bodies all over and the moon that was out was a deep blood red. I looked in horror and saw a small movement near me. It was a man with a sword and shield crawling to another man that looked to be his captain. He had finally reached him and studied the body. Making sure he was dead the man thrust the sword into his chest and fell across his captain. I screamed but no sound came from my mouth. I was suddenly looking at the stone again and blinked. What had happened?

"Jewel?" Diony asked worriedly. "Are you alright?"

"I think I just had a vision!" I replied quietly and quickly withdrew my hand. "Why do you call me Jewel?"

"That is your name here." Diony informed still a little worried.

I nodded as if in a haze and dwindled back to the tree. I looked back at the tree and studied it. As soon as I had walked from it the celtic writing vanished and it seemed to return to its original self. I was puzzled and distraught. I needed my mother, but soon I remembered she wasn't among the living anymore and never would be. I let a tear escape this time and leaned against the tree for support. The sun was setting and Diony had come to join me. He went inside the tree and left me to my grief and sorrow to sort out. I watched the sun set in between the hills. I glanced up the tree and decided to climb it. Once I had reached the top I sat there and contemplated all that has happened to me and I finally had a decent cry for my mother's death. I cried out to the stars that had shown above me and was soon lost in them.

Wow! I am so content right now... I was reading an amazing story while chomping on delicious fries... What a match! You make me happy, weird

Seriously, weird!

I woke up warm and renewed. Crying feels so cleansing! I looked around and noticed I was still in the tree perched high above the valley. I whistled softly and began to descend the tree. When I had reached the bottom and was upright I saw the sunrise. Oh how beautiful it was! Golden, pink and orange rays sprayed out from the yellow disc that rose between the east mountains. I sighed and let the light wash over me.

"Its beautiful isn't it?" Diony asked mostly to himself than to me.

I nodded agreeing with him, "So what are we going to do here?"

"Well first off you need to be trained for you to become a bard." he replied slowly.

I let this new piece of information roll around in my head and nodded to myself. I guess it would be fun. "How long will it take?"

"Months, days maybe years...depends halfly on you and how long the shadows wish to wait for you." he said thoughtfully.

Ooh... Interesting!

Oh! I love the description of the sunrise!! So... pretty...! I must steal it! *steals sunrise* Bwahaha!

Lol.. I prefer sunsets.. Err wait... That's not the point is it?!

Sunsets are prettier. They're purrtay colors! Dey look'n like a bunch o' purrtay flow'rs! (country accent!)

Aye. I like the green you sometimes see, or at least up here.
